New logo.

Postby Sweet Simplicity » 19 Jan 2012, 15:19

This forum is a forum that provides good quality, impressive logos for other forums.
But their own forum logo is drab and boring, and really quite simple.

I suggest a new one, something a little fancier, or just less boring.

I'm sorry if this rounds rude, but honestly while our current logo isn't exactly exciting, this is even worse and would detract from the otherwise modern look of the Supernova forum stlye.
Just my two cents.

When creating a logo for a forum/website, I always visit the site so that I know what theme they use and what it looks like so I know how to design the logo for them. With Tech-Squad, I would copy a few images to my computer and use them in Photoshop so I could colour the logo correctly. I would copy the current logo and use the gradient that is on it for the new logo and the background colour (the blue) and create a logo out of those colours. I might add an image into it like it has right now.

I mean our current logo doesn't suck. I like it. But if we want a new one, we need to come together about how we want it to look. Not just one person who makes a logo and says it is going to be it (no offence, COASTERFRECK).

Those are my opinions.

I think Coasterfreck's logo is quite nice, but yes I agree, it doesn't fit in with the theme/style, but that doesn't mean it's crappy.

And now we have no logo? o.O

@Pandorica: I don't think the current theme Aero Blue does not support logos.
Not every phpBB theme does.

Yes it does. I've kind of been waiting to see if they come out with any new styles I like better than these but I can add a Logo to to a couple for now.
