Firefox 5

Postby shovenose » 07 Jul 2011, 11:59

Firefox 5 is a huge improvement over Firefox 4. It has the same layout and interface, but it's a lot faster and a lot more stable. I would recommend you download it. Who else here likes Firefox 5 and what are your experiences?

I use Firefox 5 and I love it. It is sooooo much better than IE. Particularly I like the personalization options. (and the spell check helps a lot)

I am using Aurora 7.0a2 which is Mozilla's new Firefox browser I guess. It's pretty chill. I like the tabs :D Customizing this thing is really easy too and I love it.
I hate IE personally. It is too slow and doesn't have a lot of capabilities.
I use Opera sometimes when I need to log into my website as two different users. (:
I used to use Chrome but I just don't anymore.

Firefox/Aurora is the best I believe.

I've been using Chrome on my new laptop (this is my laptop and my review of it: http://hardwareinsights.com/wp/2011/07/ ... 70-review/ )
Simply because it's a bit faster. And I like the New Tab screen with easy to click buttons for the most visited sites.

Other than that Firefox is my preferred browser ;)

Yeah I am now using Chrome. FF is just so slow to start up. And Chrome has the tabs also which I like :D

Do you prefer the the old release cycle, or the new rapid release one?

I don't know. I was actually reading about that recently. I'm okay with it, but they don't seem to be changing a whole lot in each release. So I don't really see the need.

Rightfully they should be at Version 5.5.1 or something right now, not 9

I liked it better with the old one, mainly because you knew there were going to be loads of big changes.
