Postby JLogan » 19 Oct 2011, 15:47

It could be just me, but I think a shoutbox would be awesome to have here.

Thank you for your suggestion.
However, in the long run shoutboxes have the negative effect of people posting less and using the shotboxes instead. The Tech-Squad.org Administration has discussed this topic with other professional forum admins and have decided not to implement a shoutbox on Tech-Squad.
Thank you for understanding, and if you've got any other ideas please feel free to let us know! We value your feedback.

Lol. I don't know. I've discussed it with a ton of people (we've had this suggestion before), and we came to the conclusion it's a bad idea. I'll ask over at phpBB Communities and see what some diffferent people thihkn though...

Just imagine the benefits.

More conversations
Faster Tech Support ( For those who need it )
and just a place to chill.

Well, we may be getting a chat built in soon. However, it would be on a seperate page not a shoutbox.

I think a chat room is awesome (If it is mchat you should get the link and title of the mod renamed to Tech-Chat or something like that)

However phpBB has more customisation than mybb and better features.
Anyway phpBB is easy when you get the hang-of it!

Well the Welcome to Tech-Squad mod has been fixed. Also, m-chat was updated to the latest version.
