That seems kinda shady to me, but here is a website that may help.
I read it and it doesn't seem like you need to talk to tmobile at all.

I'm a big fan of HTC android phones. I think Sense UI makes them really shine. So, the Aria looks like a nice phone. It looks like it's one of their last generation phones, because all of the new ones have more screen space and no trackpad thing at the bottom...but really, Android phones in general are pretty awesome.

If you want a newer phone, look at the HTC Inspire. It's the newer of ATT's android phones. Since it's "4G" (cough....whatever...cough...) it might require a more expensive plan, though. Or if you don't really care about Sense UI and want the absolute most beast of a phone you can get, get the Motorola Atrix with the laptop dock. That thing is crazy.

Sorry free Unlock code is not possible to get for this Model...You need to pay for the Phone to get it unlocked using the unlock code...You can buy the unlock code from the site Theunlockspot.com and unlock it.

Well, just to keep this updated, I got rid of the G1 a long time ago, got an Inpsire 4G more than a year ago...

it's really starting to show it's age :(
