IPB (Invision powered board)

Postby Simba » 19 Oct 2011, 16:13

Invision Power Board (abbreviated IPB, IP.Board or IP Board) is an Internet forum software produced by Invision Power Services, Inc. It is written in PHP and primarily uses MySQL as a database management system, although support for other database engines is available.

While Invision Power Board is a commercially sold product, there is a large modding community and many of these modifications are free. In addition, many groups offer the download or design of free and paid skins.

I have had some knowledge in this forum software (Before I started learning phpBB)

Have you ever used or experienced this software from an admin point of view???

I used the Demo they offer, while it has some nice features I prefer phpBB's ACP, I just didn't feel I had the level of control with it I'm accustomed to.

I've never used it from an Admins point of view, put I have been a mod on one. I prefer XenForo better than IPB. :D

I also don't really like XenForo because I find it is to similar to IPB.

Maybe, but I'm thinking that it will eventually grow into something good. It is still young remember.

I'd rank MyBB Third behind phpBB and SMF.
