Did you know? [Battery addition]

Postby THCAndy » 28 Apr 2011, 10:28

Did you know that you can run your laptop without a battery? Of course it takes away part of the concept of the portability, but if you have a bad battery then it's ideal.

Just plug your charger into it and that's all the power you need! A lot of people don't think of that but it's true!

If they do not think of that, they are either unintelligent or not very computer savvy XD

If you're never told that, you wouldn't know.
Now people will know. I didn't know before I was showed, but I never thought of it..

I've known someone that had a bad battery and still used their laptop for a few weeks while they saved up for a new one :D

Batteries also suck for their limit.

Exactly. And if you're sitting at home on your laptop, why not have it plugged in, and battery out? It conserves the lifetime on the battery as well.

Oh ya I just though of this! Be careful where you place your battery, laptop batteries are Lithium CAD, they are extremely toxic and highly flammable/combustible.

Remember, the battery can get worn out and get damaged if you never use it. It's true. You want to do a full charge and discharge at least every 2 weeks.
